Watch the Tour of Britain in Old Buckenham!

Latest News as of June 13

On the 12th we need to make Old Buckenham as car free as possible.  Due to the kindness of local landowners we will be able to have a car park on each of the entries to the village.  However, we are going to need a team of volunteers and someone to head up car parking, so if you want to get involvd in this wonderful event please make contact, facebook or call 01953 860866

The Tour of Britain is British Cycling’s premier road cycling event and the country’s largest annual free-to-spectate sporting event. Once again the Tour of Britain is expected to attract some of the world's top teams - last year’s Tour of Britain included the UCI World Tour teams of Team Sky, Etixx-Quick Step and Cannondale. Previous winners of the Tour of Britain also include Sir Bradley Wiggins.

On Saturday 12th September, stage seven of the Tour is in Norfolk - starting in Fakenham and finishing in Ipswich. The 225km route will come right through the south Norfolk village of Old Buckenham – giving cycling fans the chance to see the world’s best riders racing on their doorstep!

Old Buckenham will be the best place to watch the Tour as it races along the straight road that cuts through the village green. To support the Tour, the residents of Old Buckenham are organising a fun-filled day of entertainment for cyclists and families alike – amateur cycling races, funfair, beer festival, and food & craft stalls. There will also be ample parking for cars, and also a secure bike park for cyclists wanting to cycle over and watch the Tour.
